Cavaion Veronese (VR), 29 June 2017 – The 2017 edition of Enovitis in Campo, the most important trade fair for the wine-growing sector, served as the perfect backdrop for Carraro Tractors to showcase its new range of Carraro Agricube tractors, with an all-new design, engines and options.
In terms of style, the new range is characterised by a more modern look, highlighted by a much "warmer" grey tone and a series of graphic markings that streamline the structure of the bonnet, with special tapered lines accompanied by cleverly positioned touches of red, which lend the entire vehicle a greater sense of energy and flair. Compared to the previous version, the CARRARO branding is even more prominent, continuing the traditional design approach adopted in the past, with a striking three-colour band which draws the attention to the front of the nose, emphasising the "Made in Italy" excellence of the brand.
Beyond the new style of these machines, all of the new models presented also feature two major new devel-opments: the new Stage IIIB engine, along with the vehicle architecture - although the size remains un-changed, this naturally continues the evolution of previous models.
With regard to the new engine, an indispensable requirement to comply with the regulations governing tractor emissions, Carraro Tractors has opted for a unique solution, which differs from others selected in the specialist segment. The change of engine, and the presence of a particle filter under the bonnet, would no doubt have undermined one of the key strengths of Carraro tractors - namely the compact, lowered profile of these machines, features that are widely appreciated by the market.
The new solution developed by the Carraro engineering team is designed to solve this problem when making the transition to the new engine, adopting an alternative technical approach. As such, a system has been de-signed that sees the particle filter positioned laterally on the machine, outside the bonnet, so that the opera-tor's view from the cab is not restricted. This technical solution succeeds in meeting the demand from farmers for these types of machine, whilst rendering the Carraro Tractors brand unique on the market.
Elsewhere, the all-new architecture of the new models is perhaps best represented by the Vigneto Largo Basso model with pergola cab, a model already presented as a prototype at Eima last year, which has now been revised and upgraded to meet new design and engineering standards.
This model, more than others, demonstrates the natural evolution of lowered machines, with the additional advantage of a rounded cab with no components that can catch in vegetation, particularly ideal for working under pergolas or canopies, whilst respecting the health and comfort of the operator.
The Vigneto Largo was also presented for the wine-growing sector, in a version featuring full options; this machine is available in sizes from 1.35m wide, and features electro-hydraulic distributors, power reverse gearbox with electro-hydraulic inverter, half-gear feature for driving under load and electronic hoist.
More generally, the new range of tractors presented is capable of meeting a wide range of requirements, with various machine versions ranging from a Vigneto model with a minimum total width of 1m to the Frutteto Largo, for hill crops, haymaking and other applications, with a width of 2.40m.
These six models cover all the demands of the professional specialised farming industry, and enable Carraro Tractors to provide the market with specialised tractors and versatile products, capable of meeting the needs of farmers in various working environments.
